Diana Jones brings the sounds of old-time Appalachia music to new her CD which was recorded at the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, Tennessee. The album features 11 songs recorded live with two musicians and a crackling fireplace in the background. Museum of Appalachia Recordings harkens back to a day when music was played and recorded live, and not adorned with the latest tricks in recording technology... Museum of Appalachia Recordings has an old-time western vibe that's not easy to get into. Likewise, Jones's rather strange sounding vocals are an acquired taste. There's no arguing that she knows how to tell a good tale, but the sound of the whole project brings to mind sleepy towns in America's mid-west where nothing has changed in hundreds of years... the sort of place you imagine strangers to be run out of town or lynched. The album contains 11 tracks and lasts for 34 min, 16 sec. If you're a fan of historical American Old West country music then you'll probably love this, otherwise I'd advise you give it a wide berth. Interesting, lyrically, but so hard to embrace fully. 4 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
