MovieScore Media releases the soundtrack album for acclaimed Danish director Susanne Bier’s romantic comedy starring Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm, Love Is All You Need. The director of such intense dramas as In a Better World, Brothers and After the Wedding here showcases a lighter side of her filmmaking vision together with composer Johan Söderqvist, who contributes a light-hearted and spirited orchestral score for the film. Johan Söderqvist's score for Love is all You Need is a light-hearted, romantic score that hits all the right beats. The album kicks off with an instrumental arrangement of 'That's Amore', called 'Amore' on this release. The original is from 1952 and was composed by Harry Warren, with lyrics by Jack Brooks and was made famous by Dean Martin.

The album contains 20 tracks (representing 41 min, 59 sec of music). Of this, the first 15 tracks are from Love is all You Need (26 min, 06 sec), while the final 5 tracks (15 min, 53 sec) represents music from one of the first collaborations between Bier and Söderqvist, a suite from the 1994 comedy Family Matters (Det bli’r i familien).

Highlights include 'First Night' and easily this album's most moving track 'No Wedding'.

If you were a fan of the movie then you'll know what to expect, but I have to be honest and say there isn't enough quality material here to make this worth picking up unless you really loved it when you were watching the film. It's short and sweet, but not a score that you're likely to want to dig out and listen to all that often.
