Queen of Carthage stars Shiloh Fernandez (who also co-wrote the screenplay) and Oscar nominated actress Keisha Castle-Hughes. The film follows an American Drifter who discovers a New Zealand singer and develops an obsession for him. The soundtrack features the RTE Concert Orchestra, Kristina Train and Danielle DeNiese... Brian Byrne's score for Queen of Carthage represents a moving collection of beautiful themes. The album opens with 'Waltz With Me Under The Sun' with vocals by Kristina Trains. This was the first segment of music written for the movie and is revisited in various tracks throughout the album. In addition, the score contains ‘Dido's Lament’ by Henry Purcell, as a bonus track. This track wasn't included in the movie, but was the only piece of music that director Mardana Mayginnes listened to whilst writing the script for the film. The album contains 20 tracks and has a running time of approximately 42 mins. For fans of beautiful scores, Queen of Carthage is certainly investing your time in. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
