Living on opposite sides of the planet, Atjazz and Jullian Gomes have jumped the 8000 miles many times in order to bring this album together. The Gift The Curse is an incredible electronic dance album. The album opens with the instrumental 'Poor Man', which reflects the hardships of surviving on making emotional and deep dance music. The vocals kick in on the next track, 'Philosophy', a soulful slider with vocals by Osunlade. This track explores problematic relationships within the music industry, and casting the net further, when people don't share the same ‘Philosophy’. From soulful offerings, such as 'Turn Back To You', which features house hero Robert Owens, listeners start to get a fuller feel as to what this album is about: Two guys making music for the right reasons. The album contains 10 tracks and lasts for around 1 hr, 01 min. This is an interesting electronic dance album that's well worth picking up if you've been following Atjazz's output. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
