MovieScore Media/Kronos Records releases Liam Bates’s score for Omid Nooshin’s claustrophobic thriller Last Passenger. Starring Dougray Scott, Kara Tointon, Iddo Goldberg and David Schofield, the film follows a well-to-do doctor, his son and a handful of other passengers who take note of how their train seems to have missed the last few stops - their ride is either unmanned or is driven by someone deranged. When the latter scenario turns out to be the case, the passengers must work together in order to stop their captor... Liam Bates's score for Last Passenger takes inspiration from a lot of familiar sources. Tracks like 'Trainsurfing' and 'Setting the Train Alight' reminded me of Benjamin Bartlett's score for Walking with Dinosaurs and John Williams work on the Indiana Jones movies. While 'Hand Brake' and 'Level Crossing' brought to mind Alan Silvestri music for Back to the Future and Predator. In addition 'Leap of Faith' reminded me of Michael Giacchino music for the Medal of Honor game series. It's an interesting score with some beautiful themes. The album contains 15 tracks with a running time of approximately 37 min. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
