The World of Steam is an anthology webseries that has set the record for the highest funded pilot for a webseries on Kickstarter. The World of Steam sets out to explore the deep recesses of a Steampunk world. Drama, comedy, horror, science fiction and fantasy are all explored against the backdrop of an alternate Victorian Age. The World of Steam peers through the keyhole of our existence into a strange new world on the other side...

Bear McCreary's music for The World of Steam is a short, but sweet collection of interesting themes. This EP represents 12 min and 25 sec of music from the series, but it manages to cram more interesting segments of music in to it than most full albums can manage.

On a side note I couldn't help but be reminded, in places, of Howard Shore's score for Big (1988).

This is well worth picking up if you're a fan of McCreary's music, or a keen follower of The World of Steam.
