Being Rafe Khatchadorian's little sister isn't easy... Rafe broke school rules for fun. Rafe's report card never saw an A. Rafe made a million enemies in school. And now everyone thinks I'm just like him! So I'm going to have to prove them wrong. It's time for some serious payback...

My Brother is a Big Fat Liar is the third book in the Middle School series of books for young readers. This time around we visit the world of Georgia Khatchadorian the brother of Rafe, who appeared in the previous books.

Georgia plans to excel at Hills Valley Middle School in all the places her trouble making brother failed. She's even bet him that she'll quickly become one of the most popular girls in school. But Rafe left a big mark at HVMS, and no one will give Georgia a chance. Even worse, Rafe has sneakily signed up her band to play at the school dance, and she's terrified to embarrass herself in front of the snooty 'Princess' who run the school and the boy who's caught her eye. Will she be able to overcome her fears and win her bet with Rafe? Find out the truth about Rafe Khatchadorian's sister - a girl who's ready to speak her mind.

While the story may not be overly original - girl starts a new school and is eager to fit in, but things don't go as planned - the execution is well handled. The numerous illustration (designed to look like Georgia has drawn them) help to bring life to the story, as well as adding another level of humour.

There are few twists and turns that more adult readers won't see coming a mile off. It's not difficult to work out whether Georgia's band will be ready before the dance and what Rhonda's hidden talent is, but then this is a book written for the younger reader.

If you ignore the occasional brand advertising and plugging the previous book in the series (not to mention the "Sneak Peak" of the next book that appears after this story is over) then this is a well written and engaging story that will bring a smile to both the young and not so young reader.
