5 Seconds of Summer includes Australian-born Luke, Michael, Calum and Ashton. After posting videos of themselves performing cover versions of hit songs to YouTube, One Direction invited them to be their opening act on their “Take Me Home” and “Where We Are” tours. Their recent EPs hit #1 on pre-orders alone and their Twitter feeds and YouTube videos amassed millions of fans - all before the band even released their first single. In February 2014, their first single, 'She Looks So Perfect,' topped the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom. In June 2014, they released their self-titled debut studio album which catapulted to #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with more than 253,000 copies sold in its first week...

Hey, Let's Make a Band! is the first official book from international pop-punk sensation 5 Seconds of Summer. It chronicles the group’s journey to super-stardom and gives fans an inside look into their world, including more than 100 never-before-seen photos shot exclusively for the book and interviews with the band.

At 300 pages, there's plenty of information here to keep their fans happy. Bearing in mind the average age of 5 Seconds of Summer fans, this isn't a text heavy book - the majority of the pages are picture based only.

The book charts the young bands rise to fame, through the eyes of the band members. It's an easy flowing book, with each band member coming forward with their thoughts and memories.

I don't know whether we received a faulty book, but the binding wasn't overly impressive. The back of the hardcover had ripped away from the main book, and looking at it... it appears to be a design flaw due to the fact that the book is so thick.

The photography is impressive - with plenty of images that fans won't have seen previously, and the layout is engaging. Younger fans will not be disappointed.
