SnapMatch Soccer from developers Strange Flavour is a new soccer, card based games for the iOS. The game is based around the idea of controlling the match via that old game where you turn over tiles trying to find pictures which match. You play against the AI which is pretty quick, so there is little time to hang around.

Review imageThe playing screen is split. On top you have a rendition of the actual game which you’re trying to influence, pick the right combination of cards and your team will get a chance to score a goal. Below this is the card area. In a race against the AI you’re looking for tiles to match. Depending on whether you’re beating the AI in finding matches will depend on your overall match success. The speed of the AI can be mediated by temporarily blocking its moves.

Overall it a simple Idea, but executed well. The actual visual match may not be much to write home about, but that’s not really the point of the game. To add longevity to the game it features eight leagues where you can move from friendly to international matches.

There are sixty-four player cards which can be used as substitutes, in the game and overall the game allows you to edit your own team.
