The Beginning and the End of Everything

Artist: Josh Pyke
Label: Ivy League Records
RRP: £13.99
Release Date: 05 July 2013 (Import only)

Acclaimed acoustic troubadour Josh Pyke returns to the UK this autumn [2014] to promote his latest record The Beginning and the End of Everything, his fourth Top 10 Album in his native Australia. Currently only available on import, The Beginning and the End of Everything contains 11 songs (36 min, 58 sec).

Pyke is currently unknown in the UK - Sydney born, he is one of Australia’s most acclaimed current solo artists. Tracks like 'Feet of Clay' illustrate why Pyke is so well received in Australia. 'Feet of Clay' is a bouncy, boppy track which will rattle around your head.

Likewise 'Horses Head' is instantly memorable and catchy as hell, as is 'Leeward Side'. The album winds up with ' White Lines Dancing', which leaves the listener wanting more.

The album is a light, feel good folk album that's well worth checking out, even if it's just so that you can tell people that you were following him before he became famous in the UK.
