Hailing from the R&B hotbed of Atlanta, Algebra Blessett has already earned a reputation as one of her hometown's most exciting new talents. Having already won widespread acclaim with her solo debut Purpose, and for her work as collaborator with the likes of Monica, Bilal, India.Arie, Esperanza Spalding and Anthony David, Algebra offers a fresh, expansive creative vision on Recovery... Algebra Blessett's Recovery is an interesting album in as much that it appears to visit so many eras of the R&B scene. We have modern, and up-to-date tracks like the album opener 'Exordium To Recovery (Give My Heart A Chance)'; '80s style tracks like 'Right Next To You'; Then there's the '70s style 'Augment To Recovery (Give My Heart A Chance)' and 'Danger Zone'; and the '60s-esque 'Nobody But You'. Blessett's vocal's are strong and incredibly versatile. She's just at home belting out the power tracks as she is the more intimate softer songs. If you're a fan of R&B, then it's worth getting hold of Recovery. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
