Bursting forth from the Norwegian music scene comes the latest release from electronic art-rock outfit, King Midas. Having received renown in their native country with their unique brand of emotionally intense rock, this marks the group's first international release, this culminated in ‘Rosso’ winning Best Rock Album at The Spelleman Awards in January often dubbed the ‘Norwegian Grammy’s’... Rosso is the latest release from Norwegian band King Midas, and their international debut album. The group have been around since the early '90s. It was interesting to discover that this album defies genre definition as each track is radically different from the last. The album contains 9 tracks (43 min) and you'd be forgiven for thinking that this was a compilation album of little known hits by various artists. The only time I was reminded of another band was the track 'You Know My Name' - which brought to mind '90s indie band Space. This is an impressive album and one well worth picking up. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
