Screamworks Records release the music to Blood Rush, directed by Evan Marlowe and written by Kerry Finlayson who also stars in the movie. Building upon the tradition of zombie flicks, the film focuses on a small town where a number of residents develop a very sudden blood lust and they are willing to do anything to get their serving. When the local Witch Doctor is brought in connection with the unlikely epidemic, things take a mystical turn, especially when the investigators the real motives of the supposed perpetrator... Michael Daniel's score for Blood Rush was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting ambient, atmospheric music but what we get is an album full of beautiful and creepy themes. Of this album's 15 tracks (45 min), personal highlights include 'Kate's Emesis'; 'Jessica's Theme'; and 'Bitonal Piano Agitato' (which houses the most memorable theme). It's an interesting score, and one that's worth investing in. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
