House of Hats release their debut album through Willow Walk Records. I have to admit that I was surprised that This Love was House of Hats' first album. There's a confidence to the recordings that usually comes with years of touring and studio recording. It's a folk album that won't put off those that don't normally enjoy the genre.

The album contains 11 tracks (36 min) with personal favourite songs including 'Rivers Will Run' (the vocals have a raw stripped back vibe to them and the chord changes throughout this track will send a slight shiver down your spine); and 'Gold' (which has probably this album's strongest vocals).

So, it's an album that straddles the line between folk and indie. Give it a try, you might find yourself opening up to a whole new genre.
