Paul Haslinger's score for the tropical action thriller In the Blood, is released through MovieScore Media. Directed by John Stockwell, the movie stars Gina Carrano as Ava, a young woman whose husband goes missing during their Caribbean vacation, so she sets off on her own to find and take down the men she thinks are responsible for his disappearance... Probably best known for his pumping score for the Underworld movies, Paul Hasslinger's music for In the Blood represents a much more laid back approach to composing. Instead of his signature rock based score (most notably for 2013's Underworld Awakening), he takes a softer approach to the music. Personally I prefer his work on Underworld, as it had more of an identity. Although, some of this can still be heard here in tracks like 'Cock Fight'. The album contains 13 tracks (35 min). Tracks worthy of your time include 'Ava's Sadness'; 'Off to Paradise' and 'I Miss You Already'. Haslinger pulls off yet another successful modern score that doesn't disappoint. While there are a few too many atmospheric filler tracks, this will no doubt please fans of the movie. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
