VerseChorusVerse is the current moniker for Tony Wright. Having split from the band he was a co-founder of (And So I Watch You From Afar) back in 2011, this album sees Wright taking a very different musical journey. Finding a firm alliance with an acoustic guitar, a strong acquaintance with a harmonica and even a fling with some mariachi brass, he writes words and music that come right from his heart, holding a mirror up to the world at large and seeking positivity... The self-titled debut album VerseChorusVerse is part folk, part blues, part traditional Irish roots. Tony Wright's style is catchy, infectious and downright enjoyable. It's one of those albums that you'll enjoy from the first listen, but get more out of the more you play it. It contains 10 tracks (45 min). I'm guessing that 'Three' is Wright explaining his departure from the band And So I Watch You From Afar. It's one of the strongest tracks on the album. 'Close Your Eyes, Fall Asleep' was probably, for me, the strongest track on the album. I loved its simplicity at the start, which is slowly built upon. VerseChorusVerse is certainly worth checking out. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
