MovieScore Media/Kronos Records release Victor Reyes's critically acclaimed, award-winning score for Grand Piano. The film's plot focuses on concert pianist Tom Selznick who finds an odd note on his sheet music prepared for his next concert - he must play flawlessly or someone will die. Considering this is one of the hardest piano pieces ever, Tom must defeat his inner demons to complete the mission... Victor Reyes's score for Grand Piano not only stands on the shoulders of some of the classical greats, but it's also a lovingly composed classical work in its own right. Like his previous score for Red Lights, Grand Piano is a soundtrack that comes into its own when listened to outside the film. There are obvious segments that borrow from classical music, but this score also pays homage to the work of Bernard Herrmann and John Barry, most notable in the mid-section of 'Grand Piano Concerto - 2nd Movement' (arguably this score's finest track). The album contains 5 beautiful tracks (32 min, 21 sec). If you're a lover of powerful, beautiful, classical music based scores then you'll love Grand Piano. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
