Taken from their album Hydra, Within Temptation release the single 'And We Run' (featuring Xzibit) as a four track EP.

While I loved Within Temptation's Hydra album, I couldn't quite justify picking this up. You get the original single, a 'Radio Edit' (which oddly enough still has swearing in it), a 'Dance Remix' (which just sounded odd) and 'Living On Fire' (demo).

The 'Dance Remix' just sounds like someone, with only the thinnest grasp of dance music and Within Temptation's output, had stuck a dance sample over the top of the original single. At times it seems out of place and the two genres of music don't fit well together.

Another thing that hindered my enjoyment of this EP was the fact that the lyrics "And we run" start to sound like "Gary Rhodes" the more you listen to them, which stated to become unintentionally amusing.

While I love the original single, I didn't feel that it was worth buying again - the album version is all you really need, and the 'Living on Fire' track is instantly forgettable.
