Punk legend Cheetah Chrome - co-founder of The Dead Boys, and more recently Nashville’s Plowboy Records - re-releases his first ever studio collection of solo material, Solo... Cheetah Chrome's Solo EP is a 7-song EP of cuts from a 1996 recording session produced by Genya Ravan and a Nashville session in 2010 featuring Sylvain Sylvain (New York Dolls), Lez Warner (The Cult), and Sean Koos (Joan Jett and The Blackhearts). As this EP is released, Chrome is 59 years of age - and still very much a punk at heart. His punk credentials comes through loud and clear in these 1996/2010 recordings. Notable tracks include 'East Side Story', which is about as mellow and beautiful a track as you could get away with on a punk album; and 'No Credit', which is a punk anthem to mosh to. For those of us of a certain age, who fondly remember the heyday of punk, this is an EP that will stir something you'd thought long buried... 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
