Following on from their 2012 album Hawk vs. Pigeon, Toronto's Dearly Beloved has been working non stop appearing at festival after festival and touring Canada and Europe. It's a wonder that they managed to find time to work on new songs, but they did, and the results speak for themselves with Enduro... Enduro contains 10 tracks (28 min, 15 sec) and is a short album from this talented group. In fact, it's not just short, it's very noticeably short - the whole thing's over before you've even had a chance to catch your breath. Personally I could have listened to way more of this band's unique style of bristlingly antisocial punk-metal. Random thoughts: This album's too short; 'Astor DuPont Payne' reminded me of The Breeders; Boy, this album is way too short. If you're a fan of chilled out, punky rock albums then I would have said it would have been an essential purchase if it were a little longer. It's still worth picking up, just don't be surprised when it's all over before it's even really gotten started. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
