Trevor Morris's score for the second season of Vikings was not what I was expecting. There are few cliched sounds that we've come to associate with Vikings in movies and TV shows. What Morris does deliver is a score full of interesting and intricate themes.

Of this album's 29 tracks (1 hr, 17 min, 35 sec) personal favourites include 'Bjorn's Choice'; 'Ragnar Says Goodbye to Gyda'; 'Ragnar Reunites With Family'; and 'Porunn's Metaphorical Swim' (which reminded me of Hans Zimmer's music for Gladiator).

This is an album that will keep you occupied for a long time. I've listened to it numerous times and can't get enough of it.
