The sound of Ghost Wolves (Carley and Jonathan Wolf) is inspired by delta blues, loud garage rock, and American roots music - a genre they call "stomp and roll". Their new LP, Man, Woman, Beast, is released on Nashville's Plowboy Records. There's no disputing that the band's raw talent and whirlwind performance is beautifully captured on this album, which was recorded in Austin's Arlyn Studios (where Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others have recorded) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, the Ramones, the Clash). The band's garage swamp stretches beyond just the U.S., garnering international attention, and it's not difficult to see why. The album contains 13 tracks (38 min, 52 sec) and showcases the bands raw talent with punk-esque tracks ('Grave Dollas') and sense of humour ('Mosquito'). It's a fun, noisy album that's well worth checking out. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
