Back Lot Music release Nathan Whitehead's score for The Purge: Anarchy. The year is 2023, hours before the Annual Purge. While television programs credit the Purge for record low unemployment and poverty levels, people across the country are preparing either to commit acts of violence or to barricade themselves indoors against the mayhem... Nathan Whitehead's score for The Purge: Anarchy no doubt works well in the movie, but listened to as music on its own merits, it feels a little flat. It's hard to review an album like this, because no doubt the composer never intended for this to stand on its own two feet; this is music that needs the onscreen action to really shine. With the movie being set in the future, Whitehead delivers a bleak, futuristic, almost industrial sound. This works incredible well, but not well enough to make it an album that you'll want to dig out very often. The score contains 22 tracks (1 hr, 02 min, 01 sec). 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
