True Ingredients are on a mission to irrigate fertile ear holes and infuse the senses with nutritionally balanced and socially responsible rebelliousness. Fusing music, live shows, technology, and sunglasses(!) in a ground breaking way. With hundreds of shows under their belt in festivals and venues across the UK and Europe from Glastonbury, to fortresses in Transylvania, and the Swiss Alps, True Ingredients release their new LP Through the Lens... True Ingredients's new album contains 12 songs (43 min, 32 sec). It covers all bases, all moods and has a spattering of comedic lyrics to ensure that everything isn't taken too seriously. Through the Lens opens with 'Smile', which is exactly what it will make you do. It's a light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek-track that sets the mood for the rest of the album. 'Boom Time' is a cathy reggae / hip hop track that takes a sideways glance at the UK economy and the poverty that is so prevalent in society. 'Flying High' is a serious pop-based soul track that beautifully illustrates the band's ability to write and perform songs for whatever genre they turn their mind to. 'Cease Fire' is a catchy, upbeat boppy track. 'Wrong War' is a memorable reggae track with a serious message. 'Flying High' is a serious pop-based soul track that beautifully illustrates the band's ability to write and perform songs for whatever genre they turn their mind to. The album closes with 'World Gone Mad' which is an upbeat, fast paced track with heavy reggae / hip hop leanings. The whole album is a delight to listen to and makes both reggae and hip hop attractive to those that are followers as well as those that don't usually go for that sort of thing. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
