Silva Screen Records release Brian Tyler score to The Expendables 3. The film was originally inspired by classic action flicks The Dirty Dozen, The Wild Bunch and Dogs of War. Featuring the biggest action heroes of the last few decades, Hollywood heavyweights Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture, the regular Expendables team is joined by Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Harrison Ford. Their mission: to foil Expendables co-founder Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson) who is out to destroy them.. Brian Tyler's score for The Expendables 3 doesn't really build on his work for The Expendables and The Expendables 2. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's rather bland, with the only highlights being when Tyler revisits his previous scores ('Look Alive' being probably the best example). The album contains 19 tracks (1 hr, 09 sec) of mostly run-of-the-mill action tracks and instantly forgettable background tracks. When you compare this to Tyler's work on the first two movies I think even the most die hard fan will find this sadly lacking any heart. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
