Their debut album hasn’t even been released yet (it's due to go on sale on 08 September 2014), but already Wakefield quartet Euphoria Audio have supported Aerosmith before some 15,000 fans in Singapore, and drawn favourable comparisons with Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. All very promising for a band who, when invited to perform at the prestigious MusExpo showcase in Los Angeles, were forced to sell everything of value except their instruments to afford the plane tickets. Euphoria Audio are Matt Shirty (vocals), Ben Lloyd (guitar), Ben Hughes (bass} and Josh Hughes (drums)... It's hard to believe that this is Euphoria Audio's debut album and even harder to believe they're a British band. There's a definite American AOR sound here that draws influences from so many sources, while still maintaining its own, unique voice. This feels like a greatest hits album more than a debut release. There isn't a weak, filler track here. This is packed full of material, all of which are worthy of being released a singles in their own right. But it's not just the quality of the songs and performances, there's also an organic flow to the order of the tracks. From the opening 'Your Tomorrows' to the powerful closing track 'The Light', this is an album that will provide not only hours of listening pleasure now (I've been been playing this non-stop for over two weeks and it still feels as fresh as when I first heard it) but will also be one of those albums that you return to time and time again in the future. 10 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
