Allah-Las met while working at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles. They began gigging in 2008, refining their live performance, and finally released their first 7” single 'Catamaran / Long Journey' in 2011. In 2012 they released their first, self-titled, album. Worship The Sun is the band's second album and builds on their unique fusion of West Coast garage rock and roll, Latin percussion and electric folk. There's a major throwback to Allah-Las's sound. '60s pop-music brought kicking and screaming into the present day, seems to be the order of the day. There are 14 tracks (40 min, 05 sec) on the special edition release (which includes two additional tracks over the standard edition). There's a warmth and an almost timeless classic sound to the songs, but It's obvious, from the opening single 'De Vida Voz' that '60s British Pop music is the main inspiration for this interesting album. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
