Hailing from Helsinki, Finland indie pop quintet Koria Kitten Riot release their third album Rich Men Poor Men Good Men. The album's subject matter ranges from a song about a mass murderer to a track that follows an alcoholic violinist. When the first track on the album started I was immediately reminded of The Eels, with its quirky sound. And as the album moved from song to song I soon realised that this was a band with a lot of variety to both its sound and subject matter. It's hard to pick a favourite track, but highlights include, for its pure upbeat tempo, 'Today's Been a Beautiful Day'; the beautiful trumpet backing on 'Train Song'; and the instrumental ending of 'Where Good Men Used to Live.' If you haven't already discovered Koria Kitten Riot this is the perfect album to get acquainted with them. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
