Lakeshore Records release Gary Numan and Ade Fenton's score for From Inside. Based on the epic graphic novel by John Bergin, From Inside is the story of Cee, a young pregnant woman who finds herself on a damaged train slowly transcribing its way across a bleak post-apocalyptic landscape. Flood, war, starvation and a plague of death threaten the train’s passengers. Cee struggles through these dangers while coping with the memory of her lost husband and the imminent birth of her child... I reviewed the soundtrack (composed by Brett Smith) to From Inside back in 2012. I wasn't a fan of it as a standalone score so I was interested to hear what Gary Numan and Ade Fenton would make of it with this second pass. To be honest it's not much better (again as a standalone score). Yes, it's atmospheric. Yes, it perfectly captures the essence of the movie. But it's a bit dull and boring. The score contains 26 tracks (1 hr, 07 min, 15 sec) and the only real notable tracks are 'Nothing Can Stop Us' and 'Cee, The Light' It's a score that really needs the onscreen imagery to really work at its best. 3 Darren Rea Buy this item online
