Useless Eaters release their new album, Bleeding Moon, through Castle Face Records. It kicks off with the supremely heavy 'American Cars' and doesn't let up until the closing track 'Walking in Circles;... As modern punk bands go, they don't come much more fresh that Useless Eaters... put has punk outlived its welcome? Those that still love the genre will fall in love with this album... it's probably going to fly over the heads of everyone else. Of the album's 12 tracks (33 min, 46 sec) personal favourites include 'Dungeon', which has an old school feel to it; 'Bleeding Moon', which borders on indie rock; and 'Whip', which has an infectious guitar riff. For me, the remaining tracks, while enjoyable, didn't hold much to make me want to listen to them on a regular basis. The production on some of the tracks feels like it was thrown together in a rush; a little flat and raw. No doubt this is intended, but it's very noticeable and is a little too distracting in places.. 6 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
