The Blind Shake is fronted by brothers Jim and Mike Blaha, with friend Dave Roper on drums, the trio have been tunneling through the underground long enough to have released six full length albums, several singles, three collaborations with psych legend Michael Yonkers and another with downstroke warrior John Reis, the band continues to push the sliding scale between catchy punk songs and pitch red noise... Breakfast of Failures is The Blind Shake's latest album and sits somewhere between the here and now and a future, post apocalyptic, punk scene. The album contains 10 tracks (29 min, 23 sec). Right from the opening track, you can tell that this is a band that has been around for a while and still get a kick out of performing. Of all the songs, 'Young Carnival Waste' is probably the one track that is most like a good, solid '80s punk anthem. But if I were choosing a couple of tracks to stick on my playlist, I'd have to plump for 'Parachute' (with it's head banging speed) and 'Pollen' (with it's upbeat rock vibe). 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
