Silva Screen Records release Inon Zur's score for Reclaim. The story follows Steven and Shannon, an American couple, who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their seven-year-old daughter, Nina. However, when Steven clashes with an intimidating local, things go from strange to absolutely terrifying when Nina disappears from her bed one night. Despite frantic efforts to recover their daughter, the young couple hit roadblock after roadblock and become increasingly desperate, finding themselves further entwined in a perplexing web of lies and confusion... Inon Zur's score for Reclaim has a Spanish flavour interwoven throughout the album's 16 tracks (50 min, 31 sec). This is not overly surprising, given that the movie is set in Puerto Rico. Tracks like 'Captured' showcase Zur's flair for writing beautiful themes, but sadly these segments of music are rare in this score. There are a handful of Spanish pop tracks performed by Edgardo Monserrat, as well as an indie pop track ('Fighting The World') performed by Maddie White and Mike Harris. While, on balance, I did enjoy this album, it's unlikely that I'll be revising it again in the future. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
