Lakeshore Records release Chris Ridenhour and Christopher Cano score for Sharknado 2: The Second One. In the movie, the action moves to NY where Fin and April head to promote the book April has written, How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters. The Sharknado also returns and heads to NY, where Fin’s sister, her husband, and childhood friend Skye all have to figure out how to survive... If, like me, you've somehow avoided seeing the Sharknado movies, then Chris Ridenhour and Christopher Cano's beautiful score will come as something of a pleasant surprise. While Ramin Kousha's score for the first movie was impressive, Ridenhour and Cano push the quality up several notches. Over the course of this album's 22 tracks (1 hr, 14 min, 05 sec) the duo deliver a virtual master class into how to compose a score that covers all bases. There's action/adventure; suspense; beautiful themes; and quiet moments of reflection. The majority of tracks, though, are obviously of the action/adventure variety. The score opens with the impressive 'Fin In The Clouds' (12 min, 15 sec) which really sets the theme for the score. It also has elements of Jerry Goldsmith's score for Twilight Zone; The Movie (1983). If you're looking for an enjoyable score that you'll keep coming back to time and time again, you've found it with Sharknado 2. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
