Canopies release their debut album, Maximize Your Faith. Heavily influenced by the sounds from an arsenal of malfunctioning vintage synthesizers, dubbed the “synth graveyard,” the album embodies the spirit of working within the band’s earthly limitations to achieve a greater astral vision. Lyrically, the tracks are an exercise in introspective therapeutic meditation, grappling with the perception of self, those close to us and how those relationships change over time... Maximize Your Faith is an album that flows naturally from track to track, and wouldn't work as well in any other order than is presented here. The album starts well, but it's not until the hypnotic sound of 'Miss You Now' that it really starts to kick off. This track will spin around inside your skull. It's one of those songs that on the second listen you'll be convinced that you've heard this year's ago. It's that good a track that it embeds itself into your long term memory and won't let go. It's an infectious album that's well worth checking out. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
