Sparks & Shadows release Bear McCreary's score for Everly. In the movie Salma Hayek takes no prisoners in this action packed thriller as a femme fatale unleashing the ultimate vengeance against a sadistic mob boss and his army of assassins... Bear McCreary's score for Everly, while enjoyable, is only really one that will be appreciated by fans of the film. On the plus side there's a hell of a lot of diversity here, and McCreary gets to have fun with the score. But this strength is also it's weakness when listening to this as a collection of tracks outside the movie. There are quite a few reworkings of Christmas carols, which is a strange thing to be listening to in mid-January (especially as I'm usually listening to Christmas themed albums for review from October through December). The album contains 13 tracks (54 min, 32 sec) and it's probably one i won't dig out and listen to again. McCreary delivers some interesting themes, but it doesn't flow that well as a collection of tracks to listen to in one sitting. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
