London siblings Kitty, Daisy and Lewis Durham release their new album, The Third. To be honest, I'm not sure why it's being pushed now (August 2015) as it was released in January 2015. It could be to coincide with their US tour, or it could be that their hoping that a little boost now will give the album more coverage. It's a bit of a quirky album, and certainly one that I doubt anyone will get the first listen through. It's the sort of LP that grows on you over time. There are numerous genres explored here and there is definitely something for everyone. Personally I enjoyed the upbeat 'Baby Bye Bye'; the catchy 'Turkish'; and the hypnotic 'Whiskey'. There are 12 songs here (43 min, 05 sec) and the band dips its toe into blues, and pop with a little bit of folk along the way. It's worth a listen, you might find that it's a refreshing new sound that you fall in love with. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
