20 years after its release, Saint Marie Records reissues Blind Mr. Jones’s Tatooine, fully remastered on CD and for the very first time on vinyl. Blind Mr. Jones formed in the early '90s in Marlow, England, presumably taking their name from the first two songs on Talking Heads's Naked. They quickly became regarded as a young band to keep an eye on... It's odd to think that it's 20 years since Blind Mr. Jones released Tatooine. Sadly, the band split up soon after. It's perhaps a little stranger that this is being reissued on CD and, for the first time, vinyl. While not one of the most memorable albums of the era, there's no disputing that this has stood the test of time incredibly well. This is almost as fresh and current today as it was on its original release. Tracks like 'Disney World' and 'Big Plane' lodge only have to be heard once for them to rattle around your head for days. For those who remember this on its original release, be prepared to be swamped by nostalgia... and for a younger generation, weren't even born 20 years ago, there's plenty here to enjoy. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
