La-La Land Records release Frederik Wiedmann's score for Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. Aquaman is forced to choose sides between the Justice League and Atlantis, when Atlantean warriors begin a war to conquer the surface world, starting with the coastal cities of Gotham and Metropolis... Frederik Wiedmann's score for Justice League: Throne of Atlantis builds on his impressive music for Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. However, in execution, it's much closer to his work on Green Lantern: The Animated Series. The album contains 24 tracks (56 min, 43 sec) and I don't think a second of it is wasted. There are so many impressive themes incorporated here that it really does feel like a "Greatest Hits" album than a score for an animated movie. 'Reunited' reminded me of David Arnold's score for the Stargate movie (1994); whilst 'Becoming a Beacon' brought to mind Danny Elfman's music for Batman (1989). It's another wonderful score from Wiedmann, and one I highly advise soundtrack collectors to invest in. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
