Lakeshore Records releases Jake Monaco's score for Playing It Cool, with additional music by Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau. The story is fresh, quirky, and weirdly relatable as a young, slightly pretentious man falls for an unlikely girl, and will stop at nothing to get her even after realizing she's already in a relationship. It tells the story of a quarter-life crisis amidst figuring out who you are and what your destiny holds... Jake Monaco's score for Playing It Cool is light, fun and quirky. It's a novel, throw away soundtrack that you'll play to death over the summer and then probably never revisit. It's quite short, containing 18 tracks (22 min, 33 sec), but is incredibly sweet. 'Two Waves' 'Shoebox' and 'Grandpa Dies' stand out as the album's highlights for me. As well as Monaco's music, there's a handful of tracks by Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau. While this is not an essential purchase, there's enough interesting material here to merit adding it to your collection, especially if you're a fan of light and fluffy, quirky scores. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
