Lakeshore Records release Tree Adams's score for Reach Me. The movie tells interwoven stories from a diverse group of people who are united by one thing - a powerful book from an anonymous and reclusive author. When the book's positive message goes viral, a journalist and his editor, a former inmate, a hip-hop mogul, an actor and an undercover cop are inspired to change their lives by facing their fears... The score for Reach Me incorporates so many different themes, that it's hard to imagine who wouldn't find some aspect of it to enjoy. Over the course of this album's 38 tracks (56 min) we visit Spaghetti Westerns ('Wolf And The Gang'); the horror genre ('Nazi Wiener Dog'); '70s action movies 'Gangsters On The Green'; and there's even a spot of Highland bagpipes thrown in for good measure ('Scottish Restaurant'). Unfortunately though, for me, this much diversity made it feel like a lot of random pieces of roughly sketched tracks that had been thrown together. It's an odd listening experience, even though it showcases Adams's many talents. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
