Despite the musical background of each member of Diamond Youth (ex-members of Trapped Under Ice, Terror and Down To Nothing), they all share a very common back catalogue of bands who have inspired and defined their developing years as budding artists. From Weezer to Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and all the way back to the Beach Boys, the influence these bands has had on Diamond Youth is ever-apparent in the music they write. Nothing Matters is Diamond Youth's new album and it's clear from the start that this is a group of talented musicians with plenty of previous experience and that their musical influences are diverse, to say the least. This is indie rock with an edge. The album contains 11 songs (31 min, 18 sec). From the kicking retro sounding opener 'Nothing Matters' to the closing 'Difference' you'll be thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Along the way you'll be hypnotised by 'Far Away From Earth'; mellowed out by 'Riptide'; and enter the mosh pit with 'No Control'. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
