Release Date: 01 June 2015

Strange Readings From The Weather Station is the new album from London based, Welsh born folk singer/songwriter James McArthur, under the band name James McArthur and the Head Gardeners.

First things first, if you don't like Folk... then walk away now. This is not an album you will get any joy out of. There are a few folk-cliches running through this album that will grate on you.

For me, the highlight was 'The Day It Rained Forever' which has a ring of Kirsty MacColl about it. Samantha Whates has a wonderful, hypnotic voice.

For lovers of the Folk scene, there's plenty here to sink your teeth into. The album contains 10 tracks (37 min) of hazy folk.
