Ravi Shavi's Self-Titled LP is the sound of garage pop – a concoction of classic punk, modern indie, and new wave, with a shot of rock n' roll. The album contains 10 tracks (28 min, 29 sec) opening with the catchy 'Indecisions'. Then we're into modern punk, with 'Bloody Opus', a tune that's hard to get out of your head once it's rattling around in there. Other highlights include the punky 'Accidental'; the laid back indie pop 'Critters'; and the Talk Head-'esque 'Vacation Holiday'. It's a pretty neat album, showcasing Ravi Shavi's genre versatility. This is well worth seeking out. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
