The High Country is Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's latest album. There's a louder, brasher side to the band that wasn't evident in their previous album, Fly by Wire. This is noticeable from the very first track. 'Line on You' has a fuzzed out guitar sound that is hard not to love. Over the course of this album's 11 songs (26 min, 03 sec) the band show us plenty of different sides to their writing and performing repertoire. From the mellow 'Foreign Future' to the gritty noise at the heart of 'Trevor Forever'. On subsequent listens you'll feel like you've owned the album for ages - and each song is like a familiar track that you've heard countless times before. I was struck by the hypnotic 'Madeline', which has feel of Shed Seven's 'Gong For Gold' crossed with Oasis's 'Don't Look Back in Anger'. Fans of the group will love the rougher, more spontaneous, sound. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
