Lakeshore Records release Mateo Messina's score for Barely Lethal. In this high school action comedy, a teenage special ops agent named Megan, yearning for a “normal” adolescence, fakes her own death and enrolls as an exchange student in a typical American high school. She quickly learns that surviving the treacherous waters of high school can be more difficult than international espionage... Mateo Messina's score for Barely Lethal stays just this side of delivering a collection of music cues. It's basically "doing stuff" music that normally you'd expect to have heard in an '80s cop TV show. By "doing stuff" music I mean the sort of tracks that accompany a car chase or the good guy running searching for something. There's nothing to get excited about and it's not the sort of score you'll want to dig out very often for entertainment. But Messina delivers an electronic soundtrack that no doubt works incredibly well in the movie. 5 Darren Rea Buy this item online
