Lakeshore Records and Hasbro, Inc. release My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Remixed. Daniel Ingram’s beloved original songs are remixed by some of the top talent on the scene, including Faust & Shortee, Arkasia, Rubicon 7, Heavygrinder and more. The album was produced by Justin Lassen, who worked with all of the artists for the recording... For those not in the know My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated TV series based on Hasbro's '80s toy line. The show began broadcasting in 2010, and is still being made at the time of writing (2015). This release is a bit of a strange one, as DJPON-3 (geddit?) is the moniker being used here by the various DJs who have remixed some of the show's original songs as dance tracks. The odd thing is is that this takes the music and gives it a rather oddly cool factor for clubbers of both sexes and all ages, when compared to the young girls target audience of the TV series. To be fair, some tracks are still too cutesy-pie to be considered true club tracks ('Winter Wrap Up (Feint Remix)'; and 'Cutie Mark Crusaders (Heavygrinder Remix)' being the most obvious examples). We also get two different remixes for 'Every Pony' and 'Love is in Bloom'. There are 13 songs on the album (50 min, 51 sec) and I have to say that this is one of those albums you can buy for young fans of the show for long car journeys. It's certainly an album that won't bore you half as much as albums released for a lot of other kid's shows. Track listing: 01 - 'Smile Song' (Buddygirrl Remix) 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
