Silva Screen Records release Ilan Eshkeri’s score for Shaun the Sheep Movie. Also featured on the soundtrack are songs from Tim Wheeler (Ash), Eliza Doolittle and Rizzle Kicks who provide a remix of Life's A Treat, the ever popular Shaun The Sheep TV theme... Ilan Eshkeri provides a buzzing, action adventure theme for Shaun the Sheep Movie. In places this is more akin to the sort of music for a Hollywood blockbuster than it is for another claymation outing. But before you get too excited, there's also a lot, and I mean a lot, of geeky, comical, kid's movie themes. The album contains 26 tracks (54 min, 46 sec) and while the music no doubt works a treat in the movie there are quite a lot of annoying tracks - that will no doubt be loved by young listeners. Tracks like 'Shaun's Farm House Party' feel like they've been borrowed from a trailer for a Farmville game, whilst 'Life's A Treat - Shaun The Sheep Theme (Rizzle Kicks Mix)' is a little annoying, sounding like any one of a hundred football anthems. The album opens with the feel good summer theme 'Feels Like Summer' performed by Tim Wheeler. Every now and again this main theme is referenced subtly in the body of Eshkeri's main score. There's also a Baa Baa Shop Quintet rendition, as well as an instrumental version. It's a fun score; part action adventure, part kid's comedy. Most of the tracks weren't ones I'd want to listen to again, but young fans of the movie will probably love this. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
