Forrest are a four-piece alternative indie rock outfit from South Wales. Soluna is their debut album and follows on from their debut EP, Before You Go. Soluna has been a long time in the making, but the results speak for themselves. This is a well polished, intricately constructed album that has had every element of it fine tuned - from the track order to the final mix - to perfection.

Forrest have spent over a year, since the release of Before You Go, writing and recording, the eight tracks (25 min, 21 sec). It's a very short album, which is a pity, because I could have listened to much more in the same vein.

Rather than an album with singles that you'll pick out as your favourite, this is one of those album's that grows organically; one track flows onto the next seamlessly, creating a listening experience that's best enjoyed playing the album from start to finish.

It's a beautifully craft rock indie album. Forrest are well worth discovering.
