Lakeshore Records release the original soundtrack for Dawn Patrol. Part Point Break, part Hurt Locker, the movie follows a surfer-turned-Marine held at gunpoint in a distant desert who tells his tragic story of revenge for his brother gone wrong to stall his execution... The soundtrack for Dawn Patrol features 18 tracks (1 hr, 10 min, 53 sec). Of these, 13 (53 min, 10 sec) are composed by Joe Kraemer, with the remaining 5 tracks (17 min, 43 sec) being comprised of various artist tracks. Kraemer takes a subtle, rather laid back, approach to the score - which works well. There's nothing to really set the world on fire, but it is interesting to play in the background while you do something that requires your attention. The various artists tracks are more interesting than you normally get on these sort of soundtracks. Of particular note are 'State of Where I Am' and 'Bad Things'.
