Fans of the Netflix series Narcos, will be pleased to learn that Lakeshore Records are releasing Pedro Bromfman's original score, which also includes Rodrigo Amarante's theme song performed by Tuyo. The show chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. It details the conflicting forces - legal, political, police, military and civilian - that clash in an effort to control the world's most powerful commodity: cocaine... Pedro Bromfman's score for Narcos represents an album packed to the rafters with atmospheric, background music. It's the sort of music that's designed to sit quietly in the background and not be noticed. There are no memorable themes, no standout moments and nothing that will appeal to anyone other than fans of the show... oh wait... there is one. The album contains 28 tracks (57 min, 40 sec) and 'Pablo Grieves' is the only track that made my ears prick up. It was eerily sweet, but not that great I'd buy the entire album for it. 3 Darren Rea Buy this item online
